Robert Zoellick, president of the World Bank and member of the Trilateral Commission, floats another hint that the dollar may be doomed to be replaced by some other global currency.

Brzezinski: Shoot down Israeli planes? Print E-mail
Trilateral Commission

Zbigniew Brzezinski states that if Israel were to launch a preemptive attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, the U.S. should intercept their planes over Iraq and shoot them down if they refuse to turn back."We are not exactly impotent little babies," he says.

Missile shield sacrificed for Trilaterals' profit Print E-mail
Free Trade

Obama's abrupt cancellation of Eastern Europe's missile shield has paved the way for companies with Trilateral Commission ties to get into Putin's pocket for juicy contracts in Russia. Sacrificing the security of tens of millions of Europeans to Putin and the Russian Bear is apparently meaningless.

Jay Rockefeller insists on "public option" Print E-mail
Trilateral Commission

Jay Rockefeller insists on John D. "Jay" Rockefeller IV, appearing on Bottom Line with George Stephanopoulos, insists that health care without the "public option" is useless, and he will not vote for it.

With Uncle David (Rockefeller) well into his 80's, Jay Rockefeller is the heir apparent to the political power wielded by the Rockefeller family. He is also a key member of the Trilateral Commission that was co-founded by his uncle in 1973.

With Obama pursuing a decidedly Marxist revolution in the U.S., why would Trilateral members be so supportive of his policies? Because they have espoused a Marxist philosophy for the last 35 years!

Sen. Jay Rockefeller Dumps on Baucus' Bill

Following up on his This Week appearance where he promised to fight on for the public option, Sen. Jay Rockefeller blasted the draft bill produced by Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus: “there is no way in its present form that I vote for it unless it changes in the amendment process by vast amounts.”

He’s not alone.  Fellow Finance Committee member Ron Wyden is livid too.  Expect a rocky mark-up next week.  As one top Democrat told me, the fundamental problem is that Democrats “are being asked to support a bipartisan bill that doesn’t have bipartisan support.”  The compromise without the cover.

Meanwhile, Republican Olympia Snowe's office just told me that the Senator is not ready to sign on to the Baucus draft. He will introduce it tomorrow without her support. But Snowe intends to keep negotiating and working with Baucus through the mark-up next week.

Majority Leader Harry Reid has scheduled a special caucus on Thursday for Democrats to discuss the Baucus bill.  Should be lively.

Obama promises "Mexican trucks will roll soon in U.S." Print E-mail
Treaties

By Patrick Wood, Editor

altThe Bush administration first initiated the NAFTA policy to allow Mexican trucking companies to operate on U.S. highways. NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) was originally created by U.S. Trade Representative Carla A. Hills, who worked for President George H. W. Bush in 1988. Both were members of the Trilateral Commission

NAFTA has been disastrous to U.S. jobs and the domestic economy. It is estimated that millions of jobs have been lost since 1991.

NAFTA called for the operation of Mexican trucks in the United States, and the operation of U.S. trucks in Mexico. U.S. trucks generally refuse to enter Mexico because of the extreme danger to life and property.

Now, Obama is dealing with Mexican president Calderon and promises to reinvigorate the Mexican truck program.

As reported by Bloomberg,

"Around 4,500 Mexican trucking companies represented by the National Freight Transportation Chamber, known as Canacar, said in June they were seeking $6 billion in compensation from the U.S. because of the trucking conflict, alleging its northern neighbor wasn’t complying with Nafta."

The occasion of the meeting was an extension to the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) started by George W. Bush in 2005. Obama is careful to avoid the SPP moniker. Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper was also present at the talks.

The three leaders also talked about the drug war and Swine flu, and how the three nations might coordinate efforts to combat both.

Thus, it appears that the road map for the North American Community is still in play.
